When it was ‘discovered’ as an idyllic spot on the European map back in the 1950s, and subsequently became the darling of well-to-do visitors from around the world, Marbella was little more than a humble fishing village on Spain’s southern Mediterranean coast.

The Costa del Sol as we know it now, first saw light in the early 1950s, when a group of pioneering jet-setters chose this southern region of Mediterranean Spain as the perfect spot to spend the summer – and increasing – the whole year.

El Paraiso is one of the more established residential areas on the Costa del Sol. Situated roughly midway between San Pedro and Estepona, a little to the west of Marbella, it is a tranquil area dominated by villas and townhouses ranged around the El Paraiso Golf Club.
