<p><strong>Benahavis is an authentic Andalusian village with narrow streets and houses of whitewashed walls.</strong> Renowned for its restaurants it has become a gastronomic centre of the Costa del Sol.  Although the village is small, the municipality of Benahavis stretches over 145 km2 that represents 18,08% of the total surface area of the western Costa del Sol and 1.98% of the 7.310  km2 of Malaga province. It has a mean altitude of 150 meters and is crossed by rivers Guadalmina, Guadaiza and Guadalmanza. The climate is Mediterranean with an average temperature of 17º and it is well connected to Malaga via  A-7 motorway and the airport can be reached in about 60 minutes.</p>

The new web with  great visual and interactive impact will be an excellent tool to present the social, cultural, sports and leisure activities and it will also facilitate the search and booking of hotel rooms, golf courses and other services.</p>

The new Web is organized in 15 categories that include hotels, golf courses, health, culture, gastronomy, nature, beaches, and transport and communication among others. It is estimated that  the it will receive between 300,000 and 400,000 annual visits and that it will  increase the business potential and scope of companies in the municipality.</p>
<p>Numerous photos of great quality feature landscapes,  historical buildings and monuments, the old town (casco antiguo), fairs and festivities among which the exceptional photos of Marbella Easter celebration stand out.</p>

<p>The Villa was conceived and designed to meet today’s tight sustainability standards and demonstrates that exceptional architecture can promote the efficient use of natural resources. Sustainable materials are at the heart of Libeskind’s design.</p>

The Villa is meant to provide homeowners with comfort and a high living standard in a sustainable, eco-friendly manner and therefore offers a multifunctional heating, ventilation and cooling system which recycles air to pre-heat the incoming air at a heat recovery rate of 90%. The system is exclusively powered by solar and geothermal energy. Moreover all building technologies are monitored and controlled via an electrical home control system which allows homeowners to program custom lighting scenes, operate sun shades, regulate room temperatures, ventilation and household devices, and monitor the security system.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>28th January, NH Hotel Marbella &#8211; The well known law firm Martinez-Echevarria Perez &#038; Ferrero Abogados organized an informative session on the new <a href="http://www.dmproperties.com/en/news/709/" title="Marbella urban plan">Marbella Urban Plan</a> which was targeted at Marbella architects, and to which Diana Morales Properties was also kindly invited. The talk was given by Manuel Garrido Mora and Carlos García-Manrique y Garcia da Silva (lawyers of the State) and Jose Luis Espejo Vergara, lawyer expert in Urbanism. </p>

<p>The talk highlighted the main areas of concern of the new Urban Plan, and what problems it would face once it was approved. The general opinion was that it is important to approve an urban plan soon, which will bring added security to the area. </p>
<p>The meeting was important in that very rarely do lawyers, architects and real estate agents get together to discuss the impacts of the New Urban Plan on owners and Marbella. This was a great opportunity to exchange opinions and listen to the experts who had a variety of views on this matter.</p>

At the beginning, and on rare occasions did we see property which differed from the traditional architecture of the Coast, always more Andalusian. Those rare properties were simply “different” and stood out in the minds of all those who had driven past them or seen them in photos. Their owners, daring and eccentric, as seen by us. But little did we know that they were only the first, in an ever growing trend towards the ‘cubic’ architecture, flat roofs, clean straight lines, simple homes with square designs.</p>

<p>According to local architect Diego Tobal &#8220;There is an increasing number of clients asking for ‘modern’ homes and we have seen this tendency over the past 5 years. There is a marked generational change, where clients want homes which are completely different to the previous generations ”</p>
<p>Having been in <a href="http://www.dmproperties.com/about-us/" title="Real Estate in Marbella">real estate in Marbella</a> for nearly 30 years we have seen this clear change in architectural fashion. What were only projects a few years ago are now coming to life and onto the market as we write these lines. In terms of what buyers want, we have noticed for about a year and half now an increasing number of clients looking “solely” for modern property in Marbella area. With an ever growing number of modern properties being built and coming onto the market we are able to offer clients a variety of modern villas and apartments in various areas.</p>

<p>During the 70’s Marbella became known for it’s exclusive A-list residents and jet-setting crowd who where drawn in by <a title="Marbella Weather" href="http://uk.weather.com/weather/today-Marbella-SPXX0054" target="_blank">Marbella’s micro-climate</a>, with an average temperature of 18 Cº, exclusive atmosphere, night life and the development of numerous sporting facilities (Marbella has become especially attractive to Golf players who have a wide variety of Golf Clubs &#8211; fifteen golf courses within a 15-minute drive and, this year, host to the ‘Golf World Championship’). Marbella’s infrastructure has been developing ever since: <a title="Malaga Airport" href="http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?pagename=subHome&amp;Language=EN_GB&amp;c=Page&amp;SiteName=AGP&amp;cid=1048858947193" target="_blank">Malaga airport</a> (which services Marbella) is at a 45 minute drive and now has direct flights with most European capitals and is currently undergoing an extension.</p>

<p>Marbella is ideally located at an hour and half’s drive from Granada and its <a title="Sierra Nevada" href="http://www.cetursa.es/" target="_blank">ski resort Sierra Nevada</a>, 2 hours away from Cadiz and its beautiful beaches, popular for wind sports and 4 hours to our neighbouring country Portugal. The new speed train, AVE, now connects Malaga city to Madrid in only 2 and a half hours. Just a short drive through the mountains behind <a title="Marbella Travel Notes" href="http://www.tertuliaandaluza.com/explora/malaga-explora/marbella-guia-del-viajero/?lang=en" target="_blank">Marbella, one finds the real Spain</a>. Here, the traditional whitewashed villages speckle the spectacular — yet tranquil — Spanish countryside. Recreational opportunities abound here with camping, hunting, fishing, walking and biking topping the list. The area’s Moorish history is echoed in its exotic village names: Cartama, Pizarra, Alora (near Malaga), Mijas, Ojen, Monda, Coin, Istan, <a title="Porperty in Benahavis" href="http://www.dmproperties.com/english/properties/location/Benahavis/">Benahavis</a> and Casares (near Marbella), all beckon to the curious visitor with their alluring charms.</p>

Here you can find breathtaking yachts, cars and designer shops, as well as a wide selection of bars and clubs. Built over 40 years ago, <a title="Property in Puerto Banus, Marbella" href="http://www.dmproperties.com/english/properties/location/Marbella+-+Puerto+Banus/">Puerto Banus</a> has grown into its own unique destination.</p>
