Argentinean pianist, María Testa, founded the Centro de Divulgación Musical del Mediterráneo (Centre for the Dissemination of Mediterranean Music) in 2004, aiming to introduce and educate people on the Costa del Sol about the delights of classical music. Testa worked hard to develop and promote projects, activities and performances through the centre, gradually increasing awareness and appreciation for classical music in the Marbella area. More recently the centre has begun to work with children, instilling in them a love of classical music from an early age.
María has developed a series of concerts called Música con Encanto (Music with Charm) featuring national and international musicians and artists at venues around Marbella. The concerts attract loyal audiences comprising people of all ages and nationalities, and have grown in stature and popularity over time.
