The Leading Property Agents of Spain (LPA) have successfully inaugurated their programme of seminars on property issues this month, in Marbella.

Over 50 professionals attended this first seminar and on this special occasion, two distinguished speakers were invited to make their presentations: "Making your property listings legally binding" by Aurora Herrera Llamas of Perez de Vargas Abogados and "Solutions to common property valuation problems" by Jose Juan Rodriguez Castro of Krata Sociedad de Tasación.

Diana Morales, President of LPA, opened the seminar and remarked: "We believe that these seminars and lectures that we will be holding throughout the year will contribute to our aim of being the best professional in the real estate industry".

This is the first of the many projects that the LPA will be carrying out to correct the deficiencies they have observed and experienced in this industry, due to the rapid growth in the number of Real Estate Agencies over the last few years, opening without the legal and practical knowledge required to operate efficiently. As Alex Clover, Secretary of this organisation, mentioned during the course of the seminar, "These deficiencies have resulted in extremely harmful and negative publicity abroad, damaging the good reputation that well established agencies have worked hard to create over the years, and stunting the market".

To counter this and other negative consequences, and after almost two years of study and trial marketing, six top independent real estate agencies with over 30 years of experience in this sector (Diana Morales Properties, Holmes Property Sales, Marbella Residences, Panorama, Fincas R. Germaux and Villa Marketing) decided to join forces and create a solid organisation. The result was the LPA - The Leading Property Agents of Spain.

Since then, other prestigious firms have become members of this organisation, such as Merweval, Klein & Partner, Nevado Realty, Marbella Direct and Pedevilla Inmobiliarias amongst others, and several companies along the coast and inland areas are expected to join in the near future, allowing for more expansion.

Today, the LPA is not only a respected authority in this field, but also a guarantee for non-residential purchasers who wish to receive not only accurate information but also honest advice.
