DM Properties supports Casa Ronald Málaga through its Charity Golf Tournament

This summer, we were proud to once again sponsor the Casa Ronald McDonald Málaga Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.

This marks the third consecutive year that DM Properties has supported the tournament, continuing a relationship with Casa Ronald Málaga that began in 2024. This year, DM Properties took part as one of the event’s principal collaborators, alongside Construcciones Bonifacio Solís and Banco Mediolanum.

Held on Saturday 8 August, this year's tournament marked the 13th edition of the event, which brings together golfers, local businesses and supporters to raise funds for Casa Ronald Málaga and the families it helps throughout the year. The organisation provides free accommodation to families who need to leave their homes and travel to Málaga while their seriously ill children receive medical treatment.

Helping families stay together during treatment

For families facing a serious childhood illness, treatment can mean spending weeks or even months away from home. Casa Ronald Málaga gives them a place to stay close to the hospital, helping parents remain near their children while reducing some of the practical and financial pressures that come with long periods of treatment.

The need for this support also has an increasingly local dimension. During the presentation of this year’s tournament, Belén Collantes, manager of Casa Ronald Málaga, explained that the organisation is welcoming a growing number of families from the Costa del Sol.

The importance of keeping families together was illustrated by Damián Fernández, who shared his family’s experience during the tournament presentation. His family stayed at Casa Ronald Málaga for more than 150 days while his son Nicolás underwent treatment. He described the Casa as becoming “a home and a second family” during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Golf in support of a shared cause

The 2026 tournament returned to Real Club de Golf Guadalmina for the fourth consecutive year. Players competed in Individual Stableford format, with morning and afternoon shotgun starts.

Alongside the golf, participants were able to support the cause through a charity raffle and auction, with prizes and experiences donated by a wide range of businesses and golf clubs. The event once again showed the role that Marbella’s business and sporting communities can play when they come together to support a local cause, since every registration, donation and collaboration helps the organisation keep the doors of its “home away from home” open to families who need it.

Our collaboration with Casa Ronald McDonald Málaga is part of our broader corporate social responsibility as a business rooted in the Costa del Sol and a reminder of what can be achieved when businesses, organisations and individuals come together around a shared purpose.
